Billboard Music Awards 2012

Le dimanche 20 mai 2012, Julie Bowen et Ty Burrell ont présenté les Billboard Music Awards au MGM Grand de Las Vegas. De nombreuses stars avaient honoré ce grand magazine musical américain de leur présence. La cérémonie a ainsi vue de nombreux artistes sur scène et plusieurs autres dans le public ou pour la remise des trophées. Il y avait, notamment, Brandy, Monica, Taio Cruz, Jason Derulo, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Gladys Knight, Eric Benet, Robin Thicke, Mike Tyson, Far East movment et Lisa Marie Presley.

La chaîne ABC retransmettait cet évènement sur son antenne.



En raison des récents décès de stars, plusieurs hommages ont été rendus à :
- Whitney Houston : John Legend était accompagné sur scène de Whoopi Goldberg et de Jordin Sparks. Le trio a remis la statuette dorée à sa fille sa fille Bobbi Kristina Brown qui a fait un petit discours, accompagnée de Nick Gordon et de Pat Houston.
- Adam Yauch, membre du trio Beastie Boys : CeeLo Green et son groupe Goodie Mob ont ainsi repris "Fight for your right", tube de ce légendaire groupe de rap.
- Donna Summer a été célébrée par la chanteuse Natasha Bedingfield, qui a chanté "Last dance".
